Kenneth N. Matziorinis is the holder of a Joint Honours B.A. in Economics and Political Science as well as M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from McGill University. Born in New York, USA, he has lived most of his life in Montreal, Canada, but has also spent six years of his adolescent life living in Athens, Greece. A graduate of the Canadian Securities Course he is fluent in English, Greek and French. He has been teaching economics at John Abbott College and McGill University where in 1993 he earned The Distinguished Teaching Award. He is the co-founder and President of Canbek Economic Consultants Inc. an economic forecasting and management consulting firm from where he has been doing extensive consulting work for over 20 years. He holds the accreditation of Certified Management Consultant (CMC).

Since 1992, he has been developing his expertise on the Greek economy and financial markets where he travels frequently. He has written numerous papers and given many speeches and interviews on Greek economic and political affairs. In 1997, he founded Hellas Capital, a company specializing in providing information, advisory and consulting services on doing business and investing in Greece. Starting in 2001, Hellas Capital is also providing investor relations services to Greek publicly-traded companies listed on the ASE to help them access the North American investment community.
He is the author of macroeconomics and business economics textbooks and an economic advisor and a member of the Board of Directors of NBG Bank, the Canadian fully-owned subsidiary of the National Bank of Greece , S.A.
